Abbie G. Gerrish was the wife of Lt. Arno Wedmore Jones. She was enumerated as "wife" rather than as head, and the couple was still married in 1910. Arno himself cannot be found in the 1910 census. Therefore, as a naval officer it seems likely that Arno was at sea or was otherwise on duty at the time of the census. Arno Wedmore Jones was the son of Jerusa Jane Gaut and James Graves Jones. Jerusa was the daughter of John J. Gaut and Margaret Angeline (Angeline) Bryan. Angeline was the daughter of my fourth great grandparents Thomas C. Bryan Sr. and Nancy Cate. As such, Angeline was the sister of my third great grandfather Peter H. Bryan. |
