The informant was Elmer Otto Bryan, son of
William Allen (Will) Bryan.
Will's tombstone says that he was born on 8 Sep 1849, and census
data persuade me that the tombstone is correct and that the
death certificate is incorrect. . He was buried in the
Bryan-Drinnen-Cate
Cemetery. I don't know if the Cates X Roads designation on the
death certificate was intended to be the name of the cemetery where
he was buried, or if it was intended to be the name of the
community where he was buried. Cates X Roads was probably the former name
of the cemetery, as the undertaker's address was Kodak, and Cates
Cross Roads is the former name of the community now called Kodak.
