George W. England

George W. England was the son of George Francis Marion England and Mary (Pollie) Smith, and the grandson of Frederick C. (Fred) England and Mary P. McKamey.  As such, I am not aware of any connection between George W. England and either of my England families in Anderson County, Tennessee.

The brick wall in this line is Frederick C. (Fred) England.  Fred England was born in North Carolina, and therefore seems unlikely to have been related to John England who married Vesta Zipporah Choate and who moved to Tennessee from Virginia.  My other England line goes back to Jacob England of Burke County, North Carolina, but I have not found a connection between Jacob England and Frederick C. (Fred) England.

This death certificate says that George W. England was the son of George M. England and Pollie Smith.  However, census data says that George W. England was the son of Francis Marion England and Mary Smith.  Possibly, the death certificate was incorrect about George W. England's father (Pollie Smith and Mary Smith were clearly the same person).  However, I have chosen to show George W. England as the son of George Francis Marion England and Mary (Pollie) Smith.

The informant was George's brother, James A. England.
