The first computer program I ever wrote back in 1966 was designed to find a rectification for the Y-hexomino (or to prove that it couldn't be rectified). Neither the technology of the time nor my beginning programming skills were up to the task. But in the meantime, the Y-polyomino has indeed been rectified.
