- Ella Kate (Kate) Nottingham was my step-grandmother. She was the second wife of my grandfather Emmert Oral Bryan. Emmert's first wife was my grandmother Ruby Priscilla Cox who died at the age of 22. Emmert married Kate about 2½ years later. Emmert and Kate were married until Kate's death 49 years later.
- Mable Clare Hickam was Kate's sister-in-law, having been the wife of Kate's brother Charles Brown (Charlie) Nottingham.
- Ruby Lee Nottingham was Kate's sister. They were daughters of James Beauregard (Jim) Nottingham Sr. and Jim's second wife Ellen Ruth (Ella) Hicks. Ruby married Sidney Ezra Breeding.
- Michael L. (Mike) Bevins was Kate's grandnephew, having been the grandson of Kate's half sister Carrie A. Nottingham who was not pictured. Carrie was the daughter of Jim Nottingham and Jim's first wife Ellen Ruth (Ella) Hicks.
