Obituary: Knoxville Journal, 12 Sep 1930
Joseph Daniel Bray, sixty-one, died the home of his son Phillip Bray, No. 302 Maryland Avenue at 12:30 p.m. yesterday. Besides his son he is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Mary White of Knoxville, and Mrs. Cordy Wiler of Harriman. The body was removed to McCarty's Funeral Home to be prepared for burial, and will be taken back to the home this morning. The funeral will be conducted from the home Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in a cemetery near Heiskell Station (according to the equivalent obituary in the Knoxville News-Sentinel, the burial was in Bishop Cemetery).
