A very cordial letter from Marilu Bryan Griffin to Elizabeth Cate Manly in 1960 cam in reply to one I had written her father. I did not know he was deceased. She wrote:

"I regret very much that my dear Daddy didn't receive your letter himself. I suspect we would have been on our way to your Cleveland address by today!" (That sounds like a Bryan!) She told of being in a hospital with pernicious anemia. She told them of her Danish heritage (Morgan Bryan's mother was Sarah Brinker, a Dane) and they told her that all Scandinavians are vulnerable to pernicious anemia!
