Kim Batson Jones, age 36, of Dandridge, passed away Thursday, January 30, 1997. She was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church. She was the purchasing agent of Intercontinental Polymers Inc. of Lowland, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Mattie Batson. She is survived by her husband, Mike Jones; son Mitchell Jones; parents, L.C. and Ruby Rainwater Batson; sister, Mrs. Eddie (Jeanne) Thornton, all of Dandridge; brothers, Frank Batson of Morristown, Donnie Batson of Greeneville, Bill Batson of Louisville, Tennessee; grandmothers, Alma Rainwater and Alice Jones; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clyde and Geneva Jones, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family received friends Friday at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge prior to the funeral service. Rev. Jeff Moncier conducted the service. The interment service was held Saturday, February 1, at Hillcrest Cemetery. Memorials my be sent to an educational fund for son Mitchell at Mitchell Jones Education Fund, c/o First Tennessee Bank, Attn: Vicki Fox, 1030 S. Hwy 92, Dandridge, TN 37725.
