She attended Rollins College, University of Alabama and LSU while pursuing a degree in Dietetics. She had been a resident of Opelika for twelve years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Richard Henry. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Henry Mathis of Opelika, Dixie Henry Blake of Williamsburg, VA; a son, Richard Henry of Flowery Branch, GA; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted by Reverand Earl Ballard at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 23, 2006 at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home, 1500 Frederick Road, Opelika, AL. A private burial service to be attended by the family will follow at Garden Hills Cemetery.
