Joyce Sample Green, 74, of Palestine, Texas, and formerly of Cleveland, passed away, Friday, July 25, 2008, in Texas. She was born Feb. 17, 1934, to Carl and Grace Sample. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Milton Green; sisters: Nelle Sample and Eva Haney; brothers: Edward, Wayne and Bobby, and triplets, Roy, Lynn and Tina Sample; and a nephew, Dennis Haney. She was a minister and president of Be Fruitful and Multiply Ministry for 21 years. Survivors include her sons: Larry Green of Bellingham, Wash., Craig Green of Hendersonville and Toby Green of California; sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Earl Ware of Decatur; grandsons: Zeb, Bryan, Sean and Isaac Green; granddaughters: Michaela, Traci and Briana Green; sisters-in-law: Johnnie Sample and Pat Sample; special nieces: Carol Thomas and Susan Rogers; and many other nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. The funeral was held in Palestine and interment was in Benton City Cemetery. Grissom Funeral Home was in charge of the local interment. Funeral services for Joyce Green, 74, of Palestine, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Evangelistic Temple with the Rev. Andy Brink officiating. Burial will follow in the Palestine City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home. Mrs. Green died Friday at her residence. She was born Feb. 17, 1934 in Cleveland, Tenn. to Carl and Grace Sample. Mrs. Green was a minister and president of Be Fruitful and Multiply Ministry for 21 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Milton Green; sisters, Nelle Sample and Eva Haney; brothers, Wayne Sample, Bobby Sample, Edward Sample, triplets Roy, Lynn and Ray Sample; and a nephew, Dennis Haney. Mrs. Green is survived by her daughter, Kathy Green of Nashville, Tenn.; three sons, Larry Green of Bellingham, Wash., Craig Green of Hendersonville, Tenn. and Toby Green of California; one sister, Mildred Ware of Decatur, Tenn.; grandsons, Zeb Green, Bryan Green, Sean Green and Isaac Green; granddaughters, Michaela, Traci and Briana. Pallbearers will be David Devereaux, Ronnie Greenwood, Eddie Sullivan, Ronnie Harris, Willis Alred and John Miles.
