Residence: 4 July 1843, Sevier County, Tennessee. On July 4, 1843 a group of Sevier County men met to sign a letter to be published in the Knoxville Register reaffirming their support of Lewis Reneau, a local lawyer and leader of the Whig Party, who represented Blount, Cocke, Jefferson, and Sevier Counties in the Senate of the 23rd and 24th General Assemblies (1839 - 1843). The name of Thomas W. Bryan appeared on the list, and I believe it was Thomas Wilson Bryan. (RGB)

Thomas Wilson (Wilson) Bryan and Elizabeth Jane (Jane) White Marriage: about 1840,. There was a marriage Thomas H. Bryan to Jane McIlvain, 6 May 1841 in Washington County, Missouri. Jane's first child was born about 1842. So I wonder if her surname might have been McIlvain rather than White. (RGB)
