William Enyard Bryan and Amanda Keener Marriage: about 1837,.46 The list of children differs slightly between Elizabeth Cate Manly and Roberta Pierson. William Jackson Bryan follows Elizabeth Cate Manly. The list of children from Roberta Pierson corresponds with census data, so I am going with Roberta Pierson. Elizabeth Cate Manly lists the first two children as Jane and Mary Ann. However, these seem to be the same child, namely Mary Jane who became the wife of Thomas Drinnen. Also, Roberta Pierson lists an additional daughter Lydia Ann V. who does appear in the census data. (RGB)

Amanda Keener3,16,46,113,114,116,117, daughter of George T. Keener and Margaret Harris,. Birth: 19 March 1816, Tennessee.46,116 Her grave marker gives a birth date of 19 March 1819. But Amanda Keener's age at the 1850 census is listed as 34. I believe that the 1850 census is a more accurate indication of her year of birth than is her tombstone. RGB
