Death: 7 February 1857, age 30, McMinn County, Tennessee. She died shortly after the birth of her child.

Burial: about 8 February 1857, Coile, McMinn County, Tennessee.

Emeline was the aunt of Lucy H. Bryan, who was the second wife of Emeline's husband Eli Helms.

Emeline seems to have been a favorite with her brothers, as mention is made of buying "finery" for her, and her death is noted by P.L. Bryan as being within a few days of the birth of his son, Daniel Horton Bryan.
