336. Charles Thomas (C.T.) Elder³. Birth: 27 July 1863, Tennessee.

!Charles Thomas Elder left Jefferson County, TN when he was about 16, according
to his grandson. He walked all the way to Decatur, Alabama where he lived for
several years with "Old Doc Layman and his Family", this would have been his
half sister Nancy Keener that married J. N. Layman. Charles was known as C. T.
Elder, he moved to Madison County, Alabama, had a farm, married Fannie M.
Beardwere, March 1, 1888 and my understanding is they had one and no more than
two children. His grandson does remember his granfather C. T. Thomas well.
