Upon examination I find the aforesaid soldier to be still suffering from Deafness to such a degree as not to be able to hear the ticking of a watch when placed in contact with the ear the deafness being considerably worse in right than left ear - When examined with opiculeur the membrana Tympani has an opaque appearance indicative of inflamatory Thickening - There is also some obstruction to the eustachean Tubes - so as not to allow perfect inflation of the middle Ear - This Trouble seemes to date from an attack of measles which left a chronic Naso Pharyngeal Catarrh with catarrh of the ear + Eustachean Tubes.
