Ethel Rhea England Hall Garrison, 93, passed away Oct. 16, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, at Jennings Funeral Home in Clarkrange, with Archie Howard officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. prior to the funeral. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Springs Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Garrison is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John V. Thomas Milton Garrison, 93, of Crossville, passed away June 18, 2005. Funeral services were conducted June 20 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Bros. Elmer McCowan and Jeffrey Rice officiated, with special music by Chris Caruthers. Mr. Garrison was born Sept. 27, 1911 in Overton County, the son of Dee and Rose Wilson Garrison. He was a man of many professions but was best known in his later years as the produce vendor. The honor system and door-to-door delivery was his way of serving his customers. His bowl was placed next to his fruits and vegetables for everyone's convenience. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Ethel Hall Garrison of Crossville; sons and daughters-in-law, Leo Garrison, Dillon and Ellen Garrison, Bill and Jolene Garrison and Jerry Tommy and Teresa Garrison, all of Crossville; daughters and sons-in-law, Bernice and John Hughes of Graysville and Diane and Michael Bolin of Crossville; stepson and wife, Butch and Judy Burgess of Crossville; 28 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Arlie Dee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Laura Pippin Garrison; sons, Kenneth and W.J. Garrison; and three brothers and one sister. Pallbearers were Kenneth (Keith) Garrison, Patrick Garrison, Jeff Garrison, Ricky Garrison, Donnie Looper and Tim Garrison. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
