Norrod of Monterey; and Ronald and Brenda Norrod of Grimsley; two grandsons, Michael and Leslie Norrod of Elizabethton, TN; and Steve and Dora Norrod of Monterey; two great grandchildren, Payton and Spence Norrod of Elizabethton, TN; three sisters, Ruby Bowman of Monterey, Evelyn and Carlen Phillips of Monterey; and Jeanette and Amos Phillips of Monterey; and five brothers, Talmadge and Naomi England of Monterey; James and Beatrice England of Monterey; Earl and Charlene England of Clarkrange; Richard and Elanor England of Clarkrange; and Jr. and Linda England of Clarkrange. Ruthie was a retired factory worker and had owned and operated Lack's Clothing Store in Monterey. She was a member of the Monterey First Baptist Church.

Ruthie was buried on 18 March 2004 in Welch Cemetery, Monterey, Putnam County, Tennessee.²⁷³
