Amanda B (Mandy) Peters⁸ was born on 6 August 1869. Amanda's birth date is very puzzling. I originally had it listed as 8 Jun 1869. But the 1870 census says she was 9 months old, born in August. The 1880 census says that she was 9 years old, which is really impossible because she was enumerated as 9 months old in the 1870 census. Also, 8 Jun 1869 seems too close to the birth of her sister Myra who was born 5 Oct 1868. So I wonder if maybe I have Amanda's month and day of birth backwards, so that she was really born 6 Aug 1869. (RGB) She appeared in the census in 1870 in Anderson County, Tennessee. Amanda B. 9/12 f w TN born in Aug. She appeared in the census in 1880 in Anderson County, Tennessee. Age 9. Amanda died on 14 April 1902.
