Edsell, Polly - age 63, of Knoxville, passed away Monday, Feb. 28, 2000 at Parkwest Hospital after a lingering illness. Mrs. Edsell was a homemaker and a member of West Haven Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers. Survivors include her husband, James Edsell; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and David Goode; son, James Douglas Edsell; a special grandson, Travis Goode; brother, Glen Scarbrough; sister and brother-in-law, Anna Belle and Edgar Turpin and several nieces and nephews; also a special aunt, Jean Scarbrough. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Joe Crichton and Tom Tomberlin officiating. Music will be provided by David and Karyn Sloas. Committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Powell. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Hill, Ed Butler, David Goode, John Gaddis, Skip Daily, Fred Edsell. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Weaver Funeral Home, 5815 Western Ave. 865-588-3868.
