Stepp, Edsel R. age 81 of Dayton, passed away Monday March 29, 2004 in Hospice of Dayton. Edsel was born, April 15, 1922 in Clarkrange, Tennessee the son of the late Millard & Emma Stepp. Edsel was retired from General Motors with 32 years of service, a member of the Brantwood Baptist Church, and served his country with the U.S. Navy during WWII on the USS Burleson. Survivors include his wife Rosa Lee of 63 years. Children, Janiene & Bill Risley of Christiansburg, VA, Janice & John Driskell, of Licking, MO., Lewis & Mary K. Stepp of Springboro, Judy & (The late Jack) Hinkle of Beavercreek, & Gary & Mary Stepp of Beavercreek. Grandchildren, Mark, Scott, Derek, Ray, Angie, Jennifer, Zachary, Renee, Jack, Joshua, Justin & Carly. Great-Grandchildren, Garrett, Cameron, Kaitlyn, Candice, Daniel, Megan, Nicholas, Bradley, Joey, Hannah, Amber & Reed. Brother Cletus & Carrie Stepp, Sister, Janavee & Willard Sisco. Edsel was preceded in death by five sisters & three brothers. A gathering of family & friends will be held from 6-8 p.m., Thursday in the Belton Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, with Pastor Tom Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Byron Cemetery.
