Delia Vaughn, 94, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 17, 2003. Funeral services were held Jan. 21 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home, with burial in Welch cemetery in Monterey. Bro. Ralph Reagan officiated. Mrs. Vaughn was born Sept. 29, 1908 in Overton County, TN, the daughter of Bill and Vernia England Howard. Survivors include her husband, Claude Vaughn of Crossville; son, Billy C. Vaughn Sr.; grandsons, Terry Lee Vaughn, Michael Vaughn, Tommy Vaughn, Bill Vaughn Jr., Kevin Vaughn and Brian Vaughn; granddaughters, Sharon Lewis and Karen Randolph; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Terry Lee Vaughn, Michael Vaughn, Billy Vaughn Jr., Kevin Vaughn, Kevin Vaughn and Dell Lewis. Hood Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Claude Vaughn, 88, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 5, 2005. Funeral services were conducted Jan. 8 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home, with burial in Welch Cemetery in Monterey. Bro. Ralph Reagan officiated. Mr. Vaughn was born March 11, 1916 in Overton County, the son of Alvin and Laura King Vaughn. He was a retired service technician with Shadden Tire Company and a U. S. Army veteran having served during World War II. His favorite pastimes were telling stories of past experiences and watching television. Survivors include his son, Billy C. Vaughn Sr. of Crossville; grandchildren, Karen Randolph, Kevin Vaughn, Brian Vaughn, Sharon Lewis, Terry Lee Vaughn, Michael Vaughn, Tommy Vaughn and Billy Vaughn Jr.; six great-grandchildren; and brother, J.T. Laughner of Muncie, IN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Delia Vaughn; twin brother, Clyde Vaughn; brothers, Hardin Vaughn and Clayton Vaughn; and sister, Rosie Threet. Pallbearers were Terry Lee Vaughn, Michael Vaughn, Tommy Vaughn, Billy Vaughn Jr., Kevin Vaughn and Brian Vaughn.
