She was born in Thompson Flat, Overton Co., TN on Feb. 15, 1916 to the late Willy Joe & Emma (England) Looper (Papa & Mama). Artie Jane retired from General Motors of Anderson, IN in 1974. She was a member of the Greenview Calvary Tabernacle in Dayton, OH and the 38th Street Freewill Baptist Church in Anderson, IN. Preceded in death by her husband, Claude Bilbrey (Married 12-19-1936) & a baby daughter; 2nd husband, Clifton Sheets; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Wilburn & Cora (Walker) Bilbrey; brother-in-law, Orley Bilbrey; sister-in-laws, Effie Bilbrey McDaniel, Edith Bilbrey Qualls; sisters, Bessie Key, Daisy Looper, Myrtle Phillips, Dorothy Hinson, Maudie Looper, Ester Dixon; brothers, AP, Ernest & Herman Looper; sisters-in-law, Lou Bilbrey Looper, Effie Phillips Looper; brothers-in-law, Casto Key, Dallas Phillips, Thurston Phillips, JC Hinson, Preston Anderson, PA Dixon; 9 nieces & nephews. Survived by her sisters & brother-in-law, Christine Phillips of Sparta, TN, Marguerite Anderson of Nashville, TN, Velma & Rev. Norm Livingston of Dayton, OH; sister-in-law, Lillie Hinson Looper, Rickman, TN; 21 loving nieces & 20 loving nephews & numerous great & great-great nieces & nephews; many other relatives & friends. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Tuesday at the Greenview Calvary Tabernacle, 8010 N. Main Street, Dayton, concluding with the funeral service at 7pm. Pastors Norm & Dr. Tim Livingston, officiating. Singers, The Gibbons Family & Tim Livingston. Additional visitation 12-1 p.m. Wednesday at the Goff Funeral Home, 205 Cleveland Ave., Monterey, TN with the funeral service at 1 pm. Singers, The Coleman Looper Family.
