John Grant (Grant) England and Elizabeth Myatt.
Marriage: about 1869, [Fentress County], [Tennessee], John Grant (Grant) England, to Elizabeth Myatt. Their marriage date is an estimate. After the Civil War, Grant's father John England lived in Anderson County for about four more years according to his Civil War pension application. John and family were then enumerated in the 1870 census in Fentress County. Grant and Elizabeth were also enumerated household of Grant's father in Fentress County in 1870.

The Anderson County marriage book is intact, and does not show a marriage for Grant and Elizabeth between the 1860 census and the 1870 census. The Fentress County marriage book was destroyed by a courthouse fire. Given the timeline of where Grant's father lived, given the absence of a marriage in Anderson County, and given the absence of any children for Grant and Elizabeth in the 1870 census, it seems most likely that they were married in Fentress County not long before the census in 1870.
