Marriage: about 1877, Tennessee, Thomas Blufford Peters, to Jamima Todd.⁶³ Their marriage date is estimated from her estimated date of birth and from her estimated date of death. Her estimated date of death in turn is estimated from the estimated date of her husband's second marriage. Jamima couldn't have been married much later because of when her husband remarried. She couldn't have been married much earlier because she would have been too young. There is no record of Jamima having a child, but the timing of events suggests she might have died giving birth to her first child. (RGB)

She is said to have been buried in the Slate Creek Cemetery in Cocke County, Tennessee. I have not been able to confirm that Jamima was buried in Cocke County. There is no known connection between her family and Cocke County. The family was from Washington County, Virginia. They moved to Anderson County, Tennessee where Jamima met and married Thomas Blufford Peters. Finally, the family moved to Fentress County, Tennnessee. (RGB)

Marriage records for Fentress County were destroyed in a courthouse fire in 1905. If they were married in Fentress County, it is unlikely that a record of the marriage will ever be found.
