UNDERWOOD, LELA MAE - age 91,
of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday,
March 12, 2003, at Shannondale
Nursing Home. She was a member of
Lynnwood United Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by husband, James Allen
Underwood; sisters, Lola Peters
and Nora Williamson, and brother, W.
R. Williamson. Survivors: daughter and
son-in-law, Jean (Earl) Hicks; son and
daughter-in-law, James (Becky)
Underwood; five grandchildren: Steve
Tinnel, Richard Hicks, Robert Hicks,
Andrew Underwood, and Jennifer
Underwood; great-grandchildren,
Stephanie, Abby, Drew, Alec and Jake,
and several nieces and nephews. Family
and friends will meet at Sherwood
Memorial Gardens 10:45a.m. Friday for
Graveside Services at 11:00 am. with
Rev. David Gass officiating. In lieu of
flowers, the family request, memorials
be made to Lynnwood United Methodist
Church, 109 Cedar Ave., Knoxville, TN.
The family will receive friends from 7:00
to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Rose Mortuary
Broadway Chapel.
