I believe that Elizabeth Jane (Jane) Messamore was the daughter of John Messamore
and Elizabeth (Betsy) Minton. John and Betsy a daughter age 00-04 in the 1830
census who is otherwise unaccounted for. It's a little disconcerting that John
and Betsy were married in 1827 so that Jane might have been born before the marriage
of her parents. But Betsy's age in the various censuses might be off a bit,
and for example she might have been only 22 or 23 years old instead of 24 years
old in 1850. The only practical alternative seems to be that Elizabeth Jane
(Jane) Messamore was the daughter of James Messamore and Sarah (Sary) Heath.
But James and Sarah had two daughters age 00-04 listed in the 1830 census, and
both of those daughters have been accounted for.
Elizabeth Jane (Jane) Messamore and John George (George) Ingram were married
on 28 Sep 1844 in Anderson County, Tennessee.16
