Johnson, Helen Harrison - age 81, of Morristown, passed away Monday, June 10, 2002 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, George B. Johnson; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Harrison; four brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her son, Stan Johnson of Jefferson City; grandson, Benjamin Seth Johnson of North Carolina; daughter-in-law, Beverly Parker Johnson and a granddaughter, Abigail Grace Johnson of Jefferson City; sister, Margaret Harrison of Morristown; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2002 at Centenary United Methodist Church with Dr. Terril Littrell officiating. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2002 at Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 12, 2002 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. prior to the services at the church. Westside Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Johnson and Helen Harrison. Date of application - Sept 5, 1942. Male - Geo. Johnson, age 24, Morristown, Tenn. Female - Helen Harrison, age 21, Morritown. Female's next of kin - Geo. (sic) Harrison, Morristown, father and Mrs. Geo. (sic) Harrison, mother. I solemnized the Rite of Matrimony between the above-named parties on the 6 day of September, 1942 at Morristown, Hamblen County, Tennessee. License returned the 2 day of Oct, 1942. Fred D. Watson, M.G., Morristown. (Helen's parents were in fact Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Harrison rather than Mr. and Mrs. George Harrison. Preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one sister. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Helen Johnson; son, Stan Johnson of Jefferson City; grandson, Benjamin Seth Johnson of Boone, N.C.; daughter-in-law Beverly Parker Johnson of Jefferson City; and granddaughter, Abigail Grace Johnson of Jefferson City; sister-in-law, Margaret Harrison of Morristown; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
