Mrs. Mary Alice Peters, 74, formerly of 212 Bellbrook Ave., died Monday at 9:05 p.m. at Greene Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Peters was born in Tennessee Dec. 3, 1901, the daughter of William and Dora Rose. She formerly lived at Oak Ridge, Tenn., and hers was the first family listed on the U.S. Census at that community's inception. She had resided in Xenia 18 years. Her husband, Thomas C. Peters, died April 23, 1957. Survivors include a son, Samuel Peters, 415 Ridgebury Dr.; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Hatmaker and Mrs. Maude Raines of Clinton, Tenn. and three brothers, John and Glen Rose of Clinton and Floyd Rose of
Knoxville, Tenn. Service arrangements are incomplete, but will be in charge of Holley Funeral Home, Clinton, with burial in Island Home Cemetery, near Medford, Tenn. Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit
St., was in charge of local arrangements.

She was buried about 5 October 1974 in Island Home Cemetery, Medford, Anderson County, Tennessee.204
