His name was Timothy Carpenter Peters but was called T.C. by the family. He wrote a beautiful tribute to his parents upon their death. The original was in the family Bible, and a transcription is on the Morgan County Web site. In the days before the Civil War, T.C. spoke out against slavery at a town hall meeting. He fled to KY under a threat of death. T.C. was a well-known Methodist minister in KY. He and Rebbecca had only one son, Timothy Edwin Peters.
