I am looking for an Elkanah Cross that might have been the son of William Cross the Revolutionary War drummer boy. This Elkanah doesn't appear to be the one. This Elkanah was born in Virginia. If William the drummer boy had a son named Elkanah, then William's Elkanah would have been born in Tennessee. Henry appears to have been Henry D. Ewalt, b. 29 Mar 1824 in Paris, Bourbon County, Kentucky, s/o Henry C. Ewalt and Ketturah M. Stamps. He married Curilla Covington 29 Mar 1848 in Lewis County, Missouri. It's not clear why Elkanah Cross might have been living with the Ewalt family. |
