William Thomas Hafley age 1 6/12 married Leola Lucretia Bray before Jun 1944. Leola was the daughter of Charles Lee (Charlie) Bray and Kathleen Haven Reed. Uncle Charlie Bray was the son of William George Washington Green and my great grandmother Mary Mahala Jane (Mahala or Haley) Bray. As such, Uncle Charlie was the half-brother of my grandmother Lola Ethel Williamson. Uncle Charlie was raised by his grandparents (and my second great grandparents) Joseph A. (Joe) Bray and Ferriba Salina (Salina) Moore rather than by his mother Haley Bray. Also, he took the Bray surname rather than the Green surname. William Hafley was the son of George Clendendon Hafley age 39 and Ellen Harriet Price age 27. Amos L. Hafley age 6 was also the son of George and Ellen. But Beulah V. Hafley age 13 was the daughter of George and his first wife Beulah Gilmore who died in 1906. |
