The surname of David Lamarr Dunning age 4 was misspelled as Dunnen by the 1950 census enumerator. David married my first cousin Carolyn Louise Nall on 8 June 1965 in Chattanooga, Hamilton County, Tennessee. David was the son of Hazel Shields age 35 and Clarence Dunning. Hazel and Clarence were divorced in 1948. Hazel in turn was the daughter of Georgia Ann Ledford age 67 and Georgia's deceased husband Clarence David Dunning. Carolyn was the daughter of Orval Andrew Nall and Thelma Joyce (Joyce) Yadon, the granddaughter of Bayard Earl Yadon and Ella Mae Peters, and the great granddaughter of my great grandparents Alva Edward (Alvy) Peters and Sallie Jane Cole. As such, Ella Peters was the sister of my grandfather Ernest Lester (Lester) Peters Sr., Joyce Yadon was my mother's first cousin, and Carolyn is my second cousin. |
