George Edsel (Edsel) Baker age 12 married Peggy June Bray about 1950. I have not yet found their marriage record. Edsel was enumerated in the household of his parents in the 1950 census in McMinn County and he was listed as married. But Peggy is nowhere to be found in the 1950 census, neither with Edsel nor anywhere else. Their first child was born in October of 1951, |
Peggy June Bray was the daughter of Charles Lee (Charlie) Bray and Kathleen Haven Reed. Uncle Charlie was the half-brother of my grandmother Lola Ethel Williamson. As such, Peggy was my mother's half first cousin. |
