Genevieve H. (Geneva) Ledbetter age 21 married Luther Brown Wells in about 1916. Luther was the son of Phillip Hancher Wells and Phillip's first wife Sarah J. Minge. Phillip married second Ida Rhoda Cole. Aunt Ida was the daughter of my second great grandparents William (Will) Cole and Vesta Clay (Vestie) England. As such, Aunt Ida was the sister of my great grandmother Salle Jane Cole, and Luther Wells was the half brother of Aunt Ida's children. Geneva was the daughter of Dempsey T. Ledbetter and Emma W. Hockett age 46. Another possibility for Emma's name is Emma W. Garrett. Dempsey died between 1900 and 1910. |
