1920 Census, Monroe County, Indiana

Richland Twp, Monroe County, Indiana, 27 Jan 1920
p.106a, dwelling number 104, family number 104
Cross Albert 25 head m m w stone cutter, stone mill IN IN IN
       Ruth 17 wife f m w IN IN IN

Alfred Henry Cross was the son of Jacob Benton Cross and Peona (Peony) Langley.  Albert's places of birth should have been listed as IN TN  IN rather than IN IN IN because Jacob Benton Cross was born in Tennessee.

Jacob Benton Cross was the son of Franklin W. (Frank) Cross and Virginia Florence Laymance.  As such, Jacob was the great grandson of my fourth great grandfather William Cross the Revolutionary War Drummer boy.  Jacob's line was William -> Elijah -> Franklin W. (Frank) -> Jacob.

Ruth was Albert's first wife, and I do not know her surname.  Albert married second Kathryn May Stogdill in 1927.  I do not know if Ruth died before 1927, or if Albert and Ruth were divorced before 1927.

Minnie M. Cross age 37 was the daughter of Jacob Benton Cross and and Peona (Peony) Langley.  Minnie's places of birth should have been listed as IN TN  IN rather than IN IN IN because Jacob Benton Cross was born in Tennessee.

Minnie married first Henry Harmon, she married second Scott Langley, and she married third Andrew J. Mobley.

Clayborne Harmon age 12 was the son of Henry Harmon.  So far as I know, Clayborne used Harmon as his surname (his father's name) rather than using Langley as his surname (his stepfather's name).  However, this census entry does not reflect the correct surname for Clayborne.

Clarence Lewis (Lewis) Langley age 6 and Albert Langley age 11/12 were sons of Scott Langley.
