Arthur C. Wells age 32 was the son of Phillip Hancher Wells and Phillip's first wife Sarah J. Minge. Phillip married second Ida Rhoda Cole. Aunt Ida was the daughter of my second great grandparents William (Will) Cole and Vesta Clay (Vestie) England. As such, Aunt Ida was the sister of my great grandmother Salle Jane Cole. I have not been able to find any concrete evidence for the surname of Arthur's wife Mary age 30, nor have I been able to find a courthouse marriage record. I have found an undocumented GEDCOM on the Internet that says that her name was Mary Agnes Reser. It seems likely that they were married in Michigan after Arthur moved from Tennessee to Michigan. |
