Peter Grantham Bryan was the son of Allen Ludwell Bryan and Phoebe Boggess. As such, Peter was the nephew of my fourth great grandfather Thomas C. Bryan Sr. Peter Grantham Bryan almost certainly was named for his grandfather Peter Bryan. My third great grandfather Peter H. Bryan also was almost certainly named for his grandfather Peter Bryan. Peter Grantham Bryan and Peter H. Bryan were first cousins. Peter Grantham Bryan's wife was Mariah Wright. |

Sarah Elizabeth Bryan age 25 was the daughter of Peter Grantham Bryan and Maria Wright. Peter Grantham Bryan was the son of Allen Ludwell Bryan and Phoebe Boggess. As such, Peter Grantham Bryan was the nephew of my fourth great grandfather Thomas C. Bryan Sr. and the first cousin of my third great grandfather Peter H. Bryan. Sarah's husband was Robert Eanes Hill, son of Robert Hill and Mary Ann Eanes. Mary Ann Eanes age 58 was a widow at the time of the 1870 census. William age 19 was the brother of Robert Eanes Hill. William age 2 was in fact a daughter Willie Ann Hill. |
