The family name was misspelled by the census enumerator. The correct spelling is Richard without the s.

Marion Gilbert Richard age 17 later married Dorothy Elizabeth Beal and they became the parents of Dean Christine (Tina) Richard. Tina married Everett Denver (Denver) Ailey on 24 Mar 1958 in Trenton, Dade County, Georgia.

Denver Ailey was the son of Arville Randolph Ailey and Alma Gertrude Slaton, both of Jefferson County Tennessee. I am related to both Arville and Alma through two separate family lines.

Arville was the second great grandson of my fourth great grandfather Robert (Bobby) Burchfiel. As such, Arville was my third cousin twice removed.

Alma was the daughter of Minnie Ann Cox and Joseph Porter (Port) Slaton. Aunt Minnie was the sister of my grandmother Ruby Priscilla Cox. Uncle Port was the first cousin of my great grandmother Nancy Virginia (Nannie) Harrison. Which is to say, Port was the son of Francis Marion (Frank) Slaton and Nannie was the daughter of my second great grandmother Susan A. Slaton who married my second great grandfather Joseph (Joe) Harrison.
