My third great grandmother Rebecca Frances George was b. 7 Mar 1816 in North Carolina. She married my third great grandfather Thomas Fielden Slaton in 1840 in Stokes County, North Carolina. I do not believe that James George and Leah Strub were Rebecca's parents. James and Leah were married 2 Aug 1819 in Stokes County, North Carolina which is three years before Rebecca was born. So it seems unlikely that they were Rebecca's parents.

I am puzzled by the two females age 10-14. Unless they were twins, it would seem that at least one of them was too old to have been a daughter of James and Leah. Perhaps their ages were misstated, or perhaps one or both of them were nieces. In any case, I do not know their ages.

My third great grandmother Rebecca Frances George was b. 7 Mar 1816 in North Carolina. She married my third great grandfather Thomas Fielden Slaton in 1840 in Stokes County, North Carolina. I believe that Presley George Sr. and Mary Cook are the most likely possibilities for having been Rebecca's parents.
