Elijah Cross married Nancy Ann Lane, widow of Samuel Looney Sr. Here in Meigs County in 1840, Elijah's son Zachariah Cross was living next door to Samuel Looney Jr., where Samuel Looney Jr. was the son of Samuel Looney Sr. and Nancy Ann Lane. So Samuel Looney Jr. and Zachariah Cross were half brothers who were living next door to each other. Samuel Looney Jr. moved from Sullivan County, Tennessee to Meigs County between 1830 and 1840. |

Sarah married Solomon Disney age 30-39 in the early 1820's in Anderson County, before Anderson County began recording marriages in a bound marriage book. |
