John Edd Williams Jr. age 1 2/12 married Cora Lee Harrison on 21 Jun 1941 in Hamblen County, Tennessee. Cora was the daughter of Daniel (Dan) Harrison and Mary Emily Ethel (Ethel) Cox. Uncle Dan was the son of my second great grandparents Joseph Harrison and Susan A. Slaton. As such, Uncle Dan was the brother of my great grandmother Nancy Virginia (Nannie) Harrison. Aunt Ethel was the daughter of my great grandparents George Jackson Cox and Clarissa Loretta (Retta or Rett) Nichols. As such, Aunt Ethel was the sister of my grandmother Ruby Priscilla Cox. John Edd Williams Jr. was the son of John Edd Williams Sr. age 28 and Mattie Tritt age 29. John Sr. and Mattie were married in Hamblen County, and must have moved to Sullivan County for John's job as a telegraph operator. |
