Margaret Angeline (Angeline) Bryan age 47 was the daughter of my fourth great grandparents Thomas C. Bryan Sr. and Nancy Cate.  As such, Angeline was the sister of my third great grandfather Peter H. Bryan.

Angeline married John J. Gaut age 47 on 15 Mar 1855.  John was the son of Joseph Gaut and Delilah Jones.

James Graves Jones age 24 was the husband of Angeline's daughter Jerusa Jane (Jane) Gaut.  James, Jane, and their first two children were enumerated twice in 1880.  The first enumeration was in Bradley County, Tennessee.  Apparently, at the time of the 1880 census in Wise County, James had already arrived but his wife and children had not yet arrived.

I would suspect that Carson Jones age 26 was the brother of James Graves Jones, but I have not yet identifed the parents for either Carson or James.

Richard Madison Ford age 23 married Frances Luella (Fannie) Gaut on 12 Oct 1882 in Wise County, Texas.  Fannie was the daughter of John J. Gaut and Margaret Angeline (Angeline) Bryan.  Angeline was the daughter of my fourth great grandparents Thomas C. Bryan Sr. and Nancy Cate.  As such, Angeline was the sister of my third great grandfather Peter H. Bryan.

Richard was the son of Andrew Ford (probably Andrew Jackson Ford) and Sarah H. (Sally) Rhoades.

Mary Catherine (Mollie) Bryan age 22 was the daughter of Allen Dennis Bryan and Cassandra Frances (Cassie) Damron.  Allen was the son of William G. Bryan and Lucinda (Lucy) Cate. As such, Allen was the double first cousin of my third great grandfather Peter H. Bryan.

Mollie's husband was James William Taylor.

The birth places for Ida Frances Taylor age 5 are incorrect and should have been listed as TX KY TN like the other two children.  The full name of Thomas age 3 was Richard Thomas (Dick) Taylor.  The full name of James age 1 was Jack Damron Taylor.

This census entry is a little confusing.

Julia Bryan age 17 was the daughter of Allen Dennis Bryan and Cassandra Frances (Cassie) Damron.  Allen was the son of William G. Bryan and Lucinda (Lucy) Cate. As such, Allen was the double first cousin of my third great grandfather Peter H. Bryan.

Julia was the second wife of Joseph Lafayette Rucker.  Joseph's first wife was Mary Elizabeth Wasson.  Clara age 5 was Mary's daughter.  Joseph married Julia Bryan after Mary's death.

Josephine (Josie) Wasson age 13 was the daughter of John Wasson and Cassandra Frances (Cassie) Damron.  As such, she was Julia Bryan's half-sister and was indeed Joseph Rucker's sister-in-law, albeit a half sister-in-law if you will.  But Josie Wasson was also the niece of Joseph Rucker's first wife.

Nancy McDonald age 69 was actually Joseph Rucker's maternal grandmother, not his mother-in-law (the census taker was confused, and aren't we all).  Joseph's mother was Virginia McDonald, and Nancy was Virginia's mother.  Joseph's father was James Cromwell Rucker.

Cassandra Frances (Cassie) Damron age 40 married first Allen Dennis Bryan and married second John A. Wasson age 27.

Cassie's parents are unknown.  She was enumerated in the 1850 census in Jefferson County, Tennessee in the household of Jonathan Nelson Newman and Susan Duncan.  Cassie appeared to have been an orphan at that time.

Allen Dennis Bryan was the son of William G. Bryan and Lucinda (Lucy) Cate.  As such, Allen was the nephew of my fourth great grandfather Thomas C. Bryan Sr. and also the nephew of my fourth great grandmother Nancy Cate.  Therefore, Allen was the double first cousin of my third great grandfather Peter H. Bryan.

Cassie Damron had three children with Allen Dennis Bryan, and they were all married prior to the 1880 census.  Josephine A. (Josie) Wasson age 13 was Cassie's only child with John A. Wasson.
