Gene Autrey Miller age 2 married Lena Mae Peters on 9 Aug1975. Lena is the daughter of William Birchel (Birchel) Peters and Annie Jo (Jo) Hackworth, and the granddaughter of my grandparents Alva Edward (Alvy) Peters and Sallie Jane Cole. As such, Uncle Birchel was the brother of my grandfather Ernest Lester (Lester) Peters Sr. and Lena is my mother's first cousin. |
Gene is the son of Gilbert Allen Miller and Ella Lee Hamblin age 28. Gilbert and Gene's older brother Jack were working as coal miners in McDowell County, West Virginia at the time of the 1940 census. |
