Member of the First United Methodist Church of Dandridge. Survivors: Husband Alger Slaton, Dandridge; sons, Lynn of Dandridge & Merle of West Columbia, S.C.; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sisters, Mrs. Pearl (Gladys) Fox, Mrs. Otha (Vida) Lindsey, both of Dandridge; brothers, Milton Fyre, Knoxville, Ernest and Prentice Fyre, both of Dandridge; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 2 p.m. Tuesday, First United Methodist Church, Dr. Robert McCray and Rev. Jerry Heflin officiating. Interment in Dandridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of Flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Friends may call at their convenience after 4 p.m. Monday at Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge. |
