    Mrs. Ruby P. Bryan, aged 22 years, died at the Morristown General Hospital Sunday morning at 1:30 a.m. She was taken to the Harry Stetzer Funeral Home, and prepared for burial, and then taken to her home on West Fifth North street. The funeral was held this afternoon at 3:00 p.m. from Wesley's Chapel in Jefferson County, conducted by Rev. Tarwater. Interment will be in the church yard. She is survived by her husband E. O. Bryan, and the following children: Jack, Robert, and Lena Maud Bryan; also by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. J. Cox of Dandridge; two brothers, Messrs John and Robert Cox of Dandridge; two sisters, Mrs. J. P. Slaton of Dandridge and Mrs. Dan Harrison of this city. The following acted as pall-bearers; S. K. McAfee, Dr. Jno. Zedler, Gilbert Morrison, J. D. Walker, Jno. G. Hays, O. H. Newman.

    Five months later, in April 1905, the trustees of Victory Lodge, C. E.
    Collins, John P. Hutcheson and R. E. McClure, contracted with the trustees
    of Shiloh M. E. Church, South, to make certain repairs on the church and
    purchase one-half interest in the land on which the church was situated.

    In return the lodge was to have possession and control of the second floor
    of the church building for a lodge hall; the church to occupy and control
    the ground floor.

    Church trustees were G. B. R. Lea, S. S. Tadlock, J. N. Freels, S. W. Lowe
    and J. E. Reed. Shiloh Church was located on the public road near F. M.
    Scarbrough's property and had right-of-way to get water from the E. C.
    Scarbrough spring.

    On March 11, 1924, members of Victory Lodge 446 met to discuss consolidation
    with Clinton Lodge 18. Consolidation took place May 6, 1924. D. A. Ward Jr.
    was noble grand of Victory Lodge at that time, and B. H. Peters was noble
    grand of Clinton Lodge. The consolidation of the two lodges made a very
    strong organization, and much philanthropic and benevolent work has been
    accomplished during the ensuing years.

    Ernest Lester Peters, 76, a foreman at Knoxville Stove Works for 26 years until his retirement in 1943, died yesterday afternoon at his home on Tazewell Pike, Corryton. Mr. Peters was also employed by the Atomic Energy Commission in Oak Ridge from 1943 until 1953. He was a member of Corinth United Methodist Church, where he taught the Friendship Sunday School Class for 26 years and served as chairman for the building program. He was a Mason. He leaves a wife, Mrs. Rose Murphy Peters; daughters, Mrs. Lucille Wright of Centerburg, Ohio, Mrs. Ruth Bryan, Mrs. Virginia Irene Tarver and Mrs. Loretta Tadlock, all of Knoxville; sons, Ernest L. Peters Jr. and Howard R. Peters of Corryton; stepchildren; James P. Murphy of Sweetwater, Larry W. Murphy of Morristown, Guerry Carl Murphy of Johnson City and Mary Aileen Peters of Corryton; sisters, Mrs. Clyde Cole of Knoxville and Mrs. Eliza Letsinger of Powell; brothers, W. B., S. A. and R. E. Peters of Knoxville. Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Stevens chapel with Rev. Robert L. Irwin officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

    Ida Mae Jones nee Ida Mae Bacon is the first cousin of Eva Lucille (Lucille) Peters. Ida's mother was Eva Mae Buckner and Lucille's mother was Amy Etta Buckner. Eva and Amy were the daughters of Robert D. Buckner and Martha Jane Parks. Amy was the first wife of Ernest Lester (Lester) Peters Sr. Ida kindly provided some information about the Buckner family.

    Eva Buckner married to Samuel Robert (Edward) Bacon.

    Eva Lucille (Lucille) Peters was named for her Aunt Eva Buckner.

    Amy Buckner died of the flu, and was pregnant with her second child at the time of her death. (Note: her death certificate lists her cause of death as pneumonia and doesn't mention her pregnancy, but it is well known that she died in the huge Spanish flu epidemic in 1920).

    Robert D. Buckner was the son of Jim Buckner and Sallie McPhetridge.

    Robert Buckner and Martha Parks Buckner had three daughters - Amy Buckner, Selma Buckner, and Eva Buckner.

    Sallie McPhetridge had brother Jim McPhetridge.

She is survived by children, Ray (Dorothy) Wright and Brenda (Bill) Eagon, both of Centerburg, and Ed (Sandy) Wright of Howard; three sisters, Ruth (Bob) Bryan, Irene (Paul) Tarver and Loretta (Bob) Tadlock, all of Knoxville, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren, Debbie Henthorn, Ryan and Randy Wright, Jeri Hoover, Kent Fling, Brock Eagon, Craig Wright, Melanie McSeveney, Leslie, Jacinda and Ryan Rager; 17 great-grandchildren, Allison and Trey Henthorn, Ryan, Isaiah and Logan Wright, Alaina and Gavin Wright, Emilee Wright, Brooke and Paige McSeveney, Cody and Dalton Rager, Kaitlin Goodman, Austin and Ramey Hoover, Amanda and Ken Hornung; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Audie; great-grandchild, Anna Wright; and two brothers, Howard and Ernest Peters.     Bill Homerding, 68, of Dunlap, passed away on Monday, Oct. 24, 2016. He lived in Dunlap for over 22 years. Bill retired from Binswanger Glass with over 40 years of service. He loved horses, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Jean Homerding; and brother, Richard Homerding. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Carolyn Homerding; sons, Johnny Underwood (Dana) and Terry Underwood (Tabatha); daughters, Susie Woodward (Michael) and Treva Parker (Mike); brothers, Larry Homerding (Beverly), Tim Homerding and Gary Homerding (Connie); sister, Linda Johnson (Dave); seven grandchildren, Justin Underwood, Sarah Woodward, Jordan Woodward, Laurel Woodward, John Logan Underwood, Rachel Roddy and Brandon Harris; two great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
