She married Harold Eugene Huffman. He was born on 6 Aug 1922 in Rockford, Ohio. They were married on 14 May 1944. They both were students at Maryville College, and they were married in the Maryville College chapel. He had finished three years, and she had finished two years at the time they were married. It was during WWII, and he left for active duty in the Marine Corps shortly after they were married. He returned to college after the war, and they graduated together in the same year. After they graduated from Maryville College, he went to seminary for three years in Pittsburgh. He died on 8 Jul 1991.
Bayard Yadon had a law degree, but he became a newspaperman instead of practicing law. During his WWI service, he wrote letters home to his sister that were so good that they were published in the newspaper. That gave him is start in the newspaper business. In addition to writing for the paper, he wrote poems and short stories.
