Services for William Edward Bray, 83, of Anniston will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Arrington officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home. Mr. Bray died Sunday at his home. Survivors include four daughters, Gail Bray, Sandra Beegle and her husband, Jimmy, and Deborah Wood, all of Anniston, and Barbara Bohannon and her husband, David, of Attalla; a son and his wife, Ronald and Danette Wood of Oxford; three sisters, Salina Mooney of Alameda, Calif., Louise Browning and her husband, Lewis, and Juanita Lux, all of Shelbyville, Ind.; nine grandchildren, Scott Bray, Sherry George, Bonnie Mason, Lonnie Dunn, Rebecca Johnson, Amy Trantham, Tera Cothran, Charles Bohannon and Stephen Bohannon; and 17 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be military. Mr. Bray, a Kentucky native, had lived in Calhoun County most of his life. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church. A World War II Air Force veteran, he retired with 20 years service. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 42. He was preceded in death by his wife, Burma Wood Bray; his mother, Goldie Mae Voiles; his father, John Walter Bray; and a brother, Charles Bray.

Services for Burma Wood Bray, 72, of Anniston will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel in Rainsville with the Rev. M. Durell Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Baptist Cemetery of Section. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Rainsville Funeral Home. Brown & Kughn Memory Chapel of Anniston is in charge of local arrangements. Mrs. Bray died Friday in Anniston. Survivors include her husband, William E. "Bill" Bray of Anniston; three daughters, Sandra Williams Beegle and her husband, Jimmy, of Anniston, Deborah Wood of Anniston, and Barbara Bohannon and her husband, David, of Attalla; a stepdaughter, Gail Allen of Anniston; a son and his wife, Ronald Earl and Danette Wood of Oxford; four sisters, Zellar Yates of Henegar, Vera Trotman of Ider, Era Hall of Skyline and Ola Wood of Hinesville, Ga.; nine grandchildren, Sherry George, Rebecca Johnson, Amy Williams, Bonnie Valentine, Lonnie Dunn, Tera Cothran, Charles Bohannon, Stephen Bohannon and Scott Bray; and 14 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Johnny Trotman, Kenneth Trotman, Mark Hosch, Michael Wood, Wesley Harper and Jerry Harper. Mrs. Bray was a Jackson County native and had lived in Calhoun County 35 years. She was a former member of Northside Baptist Church in Anniston. She was a homemaker and an avid Bingo player. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bailes Earl Wood Jr., who served in the Air Force. The family will accept flowers.
