Walter Richard Mooney Resident of Hayward, CA Rich died on 8-27-10 in Hayward at Kaiser Hospital after suffering declining health for 2½years. He was born @ Fort McClellan in Alabama on October 24, 1935 to Salina Bray Mooney and the late William Richard Mooney. Rich will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Rich was a beloved husband, son ,father, grandfather and great grandfather. Rich was a marine corp veteran, and thereafter he worked in the Building Construction trades in Chicago for 12 years. He moved to Alameda, CA in 1969 and retired as a Lead Warehouseman in 1999 for APL. He moved to Troutdale, OR in 2003 where he loved to garden and enjoy the beauty of Oregon with his lovely wife Donna of 39½years. He was a very kind and compassionate man whose smile would light up a room. He had very luminous blue eyes. He was proceeded in death by 2 sons; Bruce Neves and Norman Neves. Rich is survived by his wife Donna, his mother Salina Bray Mooney, daughter in law Carrie Adranga and her husband Adolph Adranga. 3 Children Terri Zulaica, Steve Neves and Paul Neves. 8 Grandchildren Eric, Mathew, Timothy, Laura, Joshua, Travis, Jaclyn and Michelle, and 10 Great grandchildren. Rich donated his body to the University of San Francisco. No services are planned per his request.
