Matthews, Lawson "D.L." (Red) - age 73 of Kodak, died Friday Feb. 11, 2000 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford & Lounettie Matthews; sister, Ethel Garrett; brother, Arlie Matthews; and great grandson, Brandon Matthews Stoffle. Survivors: wife, Bobbie Matthews; daughter and son in law, Crickett & Charlie Adams; sons and daughters in law, Bill & Ruth Matthews, Benny & Kathy Matthews, Tommy Matthews; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Bertha Tipton; brothers and sisters in law, Dee & Vineyard Matthews, Winford & Lillie Matthews, Lon & Faye Matthews, Frank & Pat Matthews. Funeral service 2 p.m. Monday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Rev. Carl Bryan officiating. Interment to follow in Fain Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Atchley Funeral Home Sevierville.
