He was hospitalized July 5, 1998 due to nausea and vomiting becuase he couldn't take many pain medications. While in the hospital, he had a spinal catheter implanted which greatly improved pain control. At this time, he was told that he had 3 weeks to live. Daddy began school in Brighton, Colorado at age 6. He lived in Brighton for 2-3 years. Cause of death: Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Diagnosed with diabetes in 1984. While putting up a backstop at Red Bank Junior High School in 1962, it fell on him breaking his back. He had back pain the rest of his life.
